On March 21, 2021, the Sandi Ross Awards for 2020 were presented on ACTRA Toronto’s YouTube channel. The awards, ordinarily presented in September each year, were postponed in 2020 by the pandemic. The Sandi Ross Awards celebrate one individual and one company/organization each year whose work demonstrates a commitment to inclusion on screen.
Winnifred Jong, the creator-director of the web series Tokens, received the individual award.
Jessica Meya and Louis Taylor, co-founders of Working the Scene in Colour, received the company award.
