The 12th Canadian Screen Awards were presented by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television during Canadian Screen Week (May 28-31, 2024) to honour achievements in Canadian film, television and digital media production in 2023. Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners.

Every experiment comes with unexpected lessons about the value of friendship, kindness, and confidence, helping guide our characters through the struggles of middle school with humour and heart.
Best Performance, Animation Jayne Eastwood PAW PATROL PAW Patrol follows the adventures of 10-year-old Ryder and his pack of six uniquely talented, well-equipped and very lovable rescue puppies. In the Lookout on a hill above Adventure Bay, Ryder and the PAW Patrol live, play and frequently save the day! When there is trouble the citizens of Adventure Bay call on Ryder and his pups.
Best Supporting Performer, Comedy Ennis Esmer CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING Children Ruin Everything is a comedy about James and Astrid, and their daily struggle to maintain sanity in the face of their young children. Sex, Sleep, Music, Nice Dinners, Roundtrips, Friendships – each episode will explore one thing that children absolutely ruin.

Best Guest Performance, Comedy Mae Martin I HAVE NOTHING , “Package for the Bird / Buffoon Makes Good”Package for the Bird: Carolyn begins her quest to choreograph the ultimate figure skating routine. Best Guest Performance, Drama Series Daniel Maslany TRANSPLANT , “Sinkhole”Bash (Hamza Haq) jumps into a sinkhole to save a trapped pedestrian. Mags (Laurence Leboeuf) faces a difficult personal choice, while attempting to contain a potential outbreak in the Emergency Department. Theo (Jim Watson) does whatever it takes to help a boxer with severe chest pain. June (Ayisha Issa) connects with a volatile patient, overstepping Novak (Gord Rand). Bezhig Little Bird was adopted into a Jewish family at the age of five, becoming Esther Rosenblum. Now in her 20s, Bezhig longs for the family she lost during the “Sixties Scoop.”
Best Stunt Coordination ACTRA Toronto members who were part of the stunt coordination team include: Dan Skene & Cam Fergus SHORESY The Bulldogs face off against the Soo Hunt and their veteran presence.
Best Performance, Sketch Comedy (Individual or Ensemble) ACTRA Toronto members in this ensemble include: Stacey McGunnigle & Chris Wilson THIS HOUR HAS 22 MINUTES Iconic Canadian comedy series This Hour Has 22 Minutes celebrates its 30th season of razor-sharp political commentary, biting parodies, incisive social satire, and an unrelenting skewering of the weekly news. Starring Mark Critch, Aba Amuquandoh, Trent McClellan and Stacey McGunnigle, and featuring Chris Wilson, the television series is the longest-running comedy in Canadian history.
