Check out this interview with ACTRA National’s 2016 Woman of the Year, Catherine Joell MacKinnon, interviewed on CBC news about what the Oscar win for the film CODA means to her and the Deaf community. In MacKinnon’s words:

“It’s our culture. It’s all inside of us. And we can act. So I think the film CODA is proof of that. It gave me goosebumps. I was jumping for joy!”
